Pricing
Monitoring, paging, and the status page are free forever for one small product. The paid plans add the things that cost us money to run—phone calls, SMS, faster checks—and they are priced per product rather than per person, so growing the team does not grow the bill.
| Free plan | IncidentFlare | Elsewhere |
|---|---|---|
| Escalation policy with acknowledge | Free | $29 per responder / mo on Better Stack; PagerDuty free stops at 1 policy |
| Public status page | Free, own domain | Statuspage charges $29/mo for the domain; PagerDuty free has no page |
| Uptime checks that open the incident | Free | Statuspage and PagerDuty do not probe your URL at all |
| Inbound webhooks (Sentry, Grafana) | Free | Free on Better Stack, paid tier elsewhere |
| Slack alerting | Free | Paid plans on UptimeRobot |
| Routing by component and severity | Free | Opsgenie and Grafana gate routing rules behind paid tiers |
| HTTP monitors | 10 at 5 min | UptimeRobot 50, Better Stack 10 — they win here |
If you mainly need a lot of monitors, UptimeRobot or Better Stack will serve you better. We optimise for the paging loop and a page your customers trust. Vendor free tiers as published, checked August 2026. Longer write-ups: vs Statuspage and vs PagerDuty.

* Slack, Telegram, webhooks and browser push work out of the box; email paging sends through your own SMTP credentials. Call and text allowances are a hard cap rather than a meter: when the month runs out we keep paging through Telegram and email instead of billing you for an overage you never agreed to. Premium-rate destinations are blocked, and a number has to confirm a code before it can be paged.
Your configuration downloads as JSON on every plan, including free. Components, monitors, channels, escalation steps, rotations and subscribers, in a file you can read and feed back in. Config you cannot take out is config you are locked into.
